Mediant 1000B – SBA

The AudioCodes Mediant 1000 is a Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) designed to serve small-to-medium sized branch offices. Supporting up to 120 voice channels in a 1U modular platform, the Mediant 1000 SBA ensures the continuity of internal voice and data communications in the event of a WAN failure.

Part of our One Voice for Skype for Business portfolio, The Mediant 1000 SBA is an essential element in multisite Skype for Business deployments, and is fully certified by Microsoft for use with Skype for Business Server.

The Mediant 1000 SBA is designed for medium to large branch offices (up to 1000 users) and is available in two variants:

• Mediant 1000B SBA-ES – supports third-party IT software, for example, anti-virus and monitoring agents on the same operating system as the SBA
• Mediant 1000B SBA-EO – high performance device (based on Intel® Core™ i7 dual-core processor) designed to support additional applications, including advanced enterprise communications applications

• Advanced applications, including SIP phone integration, smartphone integration, and a Lync-based recording solution
• PSTN connectivity in parallel and as a fallback to SIP Trunk connectivity
• Full modularity and interface flexibility, including digital spans, analog ports and BRI interfaces
• Open server platform for hosting additional value-added services and applications
• Lync migration support for branch offices with advanced call routing capabilities, such as Call Forking and Active Directory look-up
• Supports emergency calling standards, including E911 and Emergency Location Identification Number (ELIN)
